Riverside College has achieved the highest possible rating by Ofsted who judged the college to be outstanding, making it the only Further Education College in the North West to achieve outstanding under the new Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (view report).

At Riverside College we are committed to prioritising and promoting Staff Health & Wellbeing. We support and encourage Staff to take a proactive approach to manage their wellbeing with the use of the resources and the support available in the College. Staff Health & Wellbeing is embedded in College life, including within our recruitment and induction process, return to works, probations and CPD days.

This strategy sets out a whole College approach to staff health and wellbeing, so that staff feel they can make positive choices for their own wellbeing and access relevant support when needed. The Strategy highlights 6 areas of Wellbeing- Physical, Mental, Social, Emotional, Financial and Environmental, which are emphasised in Wellbeing Week and relevant days.
The college has trained 40 Mental Health First Aiders and has committed to the Mental Health at Work Commitment, as we are key to support and follow their 6 standards:
